Cheaters - why aren't they being banned?

So having talked to the support staff, I was told to repost this thread here, since it concerns a game on GFWL on PC, and the enforcement team doesn't seem to read those posts, or so I was told. So here it is:

I'm curious, I have now filed multiple complaints vs the same player who uses cheats, and is VERY well known in the gaming community to use cheats. He still hasn't been banned or had his points removed (he has a top spot on the leaderboards). When are you
gonna do something about him? I'm not gonna name him in case there's a policy against naming and shaming, but his exploits are well documented on YouTube, so there's really no reason not to have him banned yet. Please Microsoft, do the right thing and ban
cheaters and people who use exploits to gain advantages in online competitive games.

CoD World at War-Hackers out in force last night

Already being done but nine times out of ten the cheaters aren't the ones paying for the sub and as such they don't care.

 

Block cheaters and hackers

Until the system is able to detect cheaters they should install a simple block feature so I don't keep being put in games with cheaters. I tried reporting cheaters many times over and over again but they are still there. Pretty ridiculous that if I want
to play, I'm being forced to do so with cheaters. Thought they would do something by now and I was initially fooled, like many people were by xbox live stating they had a solution. I don't understand why to play on xbox live I have to play with cheaters.
Anyone know if PSN block feature is the same as this?

 

I thought they were supposed to put all of these players in their own pool and make them only play each other. I guess that didn't happen.

 

There is a policy on naming and shaming, so well done on that.

Sadly all you can do is report the player but with Microsoft abandoning GFWL I don't think you'll have any luck.

 

I'm thinking the code enforcement team doesn't care about honest players anymore, I've never reading a few posts on here about other issues and they haven't responded to me so much as single word for 3 days now

 

Just to update they did respond with a automated message big help there.

 

Because xbox support only cares about banning those of us that call other terrible players.

 

So we're proud much good to have to deal with this is what I'm gathering form what I've been dealing with, I'm starting to think I might need to find the number for their human resources department and find out how to file a complaint against them, because
it's becoming more and more difficult to even play a fair game anymore with all the modding and lag cheating I've been seeing and I'm not to sure but I've heard about a virus that has been sent out from someone.

 

The 360 will not run unsigned code. If someone had managed to break or copy that digital signature then they wouldn't be using it for a virus but to enable the biggest scale of piracy going.

 

Vaynel, quite frankly, if you think that modding doesn't exist, you should be banned.

 

The only way to run unsigned code is by modding the console hardware itself to bypass the check, the so called jtag or RGH consoles. And lets face it, if those were to get infected with a virus would anyone really care.

As it stands the 360 does not run unsigned code, lets be more specific since that is what you want, there is a great difference between modding a save file or game disc and running a unsigned program on the console.

We as general users can't do that. Only those with the modded hardware can.

 

Ok so what about the lizard squad then? Look what they did, and everything got *** up. Russian hackers, how about them I've seen a few Russian players. So ya wanna tell everyone again hacking our consoles can't happen.

 

Lizard Squad didn't 'hack' anything. They used a botnet to run a distributed denial of service attack. That isn't hacking, that is flooding servers with so many requests that they can't respond to a genuine request in a timely manner.

My point remains that a unmodded 360 does not run unsigned code. If someone had managed to 'forge' the digital signature that Microsoft use then it would be massive news everywhere.

 

I still don't believe you. If you're so sure that it doesn't happen why don't you prove your theory to support that. Now as for the spamming of various requests it's happened to me more than once,in fact 3 times over a month period yesterday it happened
as well to my girlfriend who was watching Netflix. Watching a TV show and it happened, she wasn't playing a game just watching a TV show, and it happened again, while I was at work. So please feel free to tell me how people are doing their job's.
