Cheated out of my Gamertag

I've had the name Toddleroncrack since the Xbox 360 had halo 3. But this summer of 2017 it was forcibly changed, and I had no control over that change. I found out somehow I violated my Xbox terms. After reading those terms, and finding out in no way did
I violate anything, my claim for my name was denied. I'm allowed to have the EXACT same name, with a number after it. Toddleroncrack3 is a perfectly acceptable name, except I have to pay 10$ to get that. This is a great way to scam me out of my money, if anyone
can assist I would love it, because I'm honestly about to just get a ps4.

Even with a number after it, it would still violate the code of conduct and you would receive another forced name change. Multiple changes and you would receive a permanent ban.

FYI, PlayStation ha the same rules only they do not allow name changes so if you were to use the name on their system, you would lose your entire account.

I already have the name for PlayStation. Since ps3, so that's false. And if it violates a term then why am I allowed to choose that name? Or why would it give me the recommended names of just changing my number. It' been 10 years with my name. Why is this
just recently being enforced. What changed?

The filter doesn't catch everything. So just because the system let's you pick it, doesn't mean it's allowed. Nothing has changed as far as the rules with the exception of being given a randomly generated tag. It doesn't matter if you've had a tag for 10
minutes or 10 years, if it violates the code of conduct the enforcement team will take action. It just took that long for someone to file a complaint on you and the enforcement team to investigate.

The gamertag system has many checks in place to try prevent people from choosing gamertags that may not be appropriate however it is not able to spot everything. Chances are that someone has complained about your gamertag and when investigated the Enforcement
team has decided that this breaks the code of conduct and have changed it.

You should be able to review this at the
Xbox Enforcement website and if eligible can request a case review of this.
