Cheaper name change alternatives?

10 USD for a simple name change is extreme...

Do any alternatives exist to change your GT?

Only 400? Im too attached to this Gamertag to want to change it but atleast it's cheaper now. $10 to change your name? It shouldn't even cost a dime....

Well considering that xbox is the only system that allows name changes it's not overpriced and should only be taken seriously as it's involves rankings and updating them to reflect the name change

Pc systems charge 10bucks on some games and 25bucks on others

So 10bucks is on the cheap side

If you're not signed up already, sign up for the Rewards program or Bing rewards. You can earn currency for your account and use that to make the purchase. It won't be immediate though.

 

Old days friends on 360 would say have your maxed out buddy list of 100 give you bad rep votes then Microsoft automatically forces you to name change. Not sure if that works any more. Most likely doesn't work any more. It did like 8 years ago

I've had plenty of friends use this trick for a free name change.

 

a long time ago back in XBL early stages, yes in fact you could change your name by users sending complaints against your name, you could even call support to change your name due to online abuse as well. This was back in 2005-2007 mind you, before they
realized they could make money off of something simple as a name change
