Cheap Xbox Controller Clip

What a name? So, I've been having issues with my controller. I used it for a while, took very good care of it, and then all of a sudden the left joystick broke. It had this wired clicking noise and feeling, and it made it difficult to use my controller.
I figured, meh, just an accident. Nope, a few weeks later, my other controller, had the same problem. I decided to look it up, see why. Apparently, this is a very common problem with a clip in the joystick that is easily broken if pushed down on just a little
bit too hard. Now, don't blame me for pushing it too hard, apparently this is very common. So, Xbox has a cheap clip that is easily broken in their design. Why? Why would you have something like this? Now, I'm hoping this gets popular enough to where something
might be done, but I don't think so. Unfortunately, both controllers are out of warranty, so I can't fix a problem that could happen at any time. Brand new controller or many years old. It is simply a poor design choice and I'm hoping this is fixed or something
might be done to change it.

X1 controllers are barely held together

Yes they do have a cheap feeling to them because they're only clipped together. Hopefully as time goes on they will bring out controllers that are actually *** together and tougher.

 

How is your Elite Controller holding up?

In the previous Xbox generations the controller was the consoles strong point. With Xbox One it's been a weak point. For Scorpio they need to do a complete redesign focusing on quality components and better build quality. For starters,get rid of the cheap handle cover clips and use screws and realize the controller doesn't have to be super lite.

 

If it the regular Xbox controller or a special kind?

 

All Xbox controllers have this problem. It is a little grey chip in the left joystick that re-centers the stick. The problem is, the plastic of that chip is so fragile that even a slight nudge at where the chip is located(Right Side of Joystick) will break
it off. At the moment I have not found a way to fix this but to buy a new controller for a silly problem.
