Cheap xbox 360 custom controller creator?

I've been looking for a cheap xbox 360 controller creator so that I can get a custom controller for my son's birthday. Any Ideas?

Console/Controller Skins

I prefer custom consoles and controllers rather than skins. My first xbox was the halo xbox and it was cool. Console skins look cheap and tacky and sometimes distracting but not as much as custom ones. I could never imagine having a skin on my controller it would look ridiculous but I would get that chrome xbox 360 controller any day.

 

Best looking controller all-time?

Xbox, 360 and One all have great looking controllers for sure. My 360 was custom pink casing that was my sisters it was sweet and had a PC version from Gamestop that looked cool but felt cheap. For original Xbox I had the general controller, personally I like the big old logo on the front, just like I like seeing game art while I play aka back in the SNES/N64 days.

When I look up custom Xbox controllers, all of them look bad ass. But if I do the same for other controllers, they ain't as cool, most have way to many angles and not enough flat space to really put graphic art on.

 

Go to gamermodz.com it's fantastic. Controllers are generally expensive but if your son has another xbox 360 controller you can send his in to be custom built which is a cheaper option than buying the custom controller.

 

He doesn't have another one though. His little brother broke it so he can't play and I wanted to surprise him with a custom one.

I don't want it nodded I just want visual customizations.

 

So you only want stickers,or a controller with stickers already on?

 

A new shell requires self repair and is classed as modification,that cannot be discussed here.

Print out a sticker......... add a clear coat. About 5 bucks......

 

Check out ebay or amazon for custom shells and buttons. Look up some diy tutorials on how to open the controller and customise it yourself. It is really quite easy to do if you have the right screw driver and cheaper than getting someone else to do it

 

Modified controllers are considered cheating and, if caught, will result in a ban. However, if you are simply looking for say a custom color, you can easily get those from Amazon. They have complete kits for as little as $7 that will replace the thumbsticks,
buttons, triggers, shoulder bumpers, etc. while keeping the original workings in tact. They also have cases in varying colors. You could do as I did and buy the kit to replace the buttons, sticks, etc, and easily do it yourself (took me about 5 minutes)
and, keeping the original case and internal workings, now have what appears to be a custom controller while actually being an original with different colored buttons, etc. You could buy a new case of whatever color, a sticks, buttons kit and just put the
internals in that and have a completely custom looking controller complete with all colors of your choosing while keeping the original design of how the controller works and avoiding a ban in the process. Oh, and most kits come with the torx screwdriver you
need to do the job.
