Chatpad won't work

I'm glad im not the only one with this problem.. I got my elite 2 today and its not working with my chatpad. Is not only the audio but is like it won't recognize the chatpad at all. Notbing works not even to type this is annoying bc I use my chatpad frequently....
is noy my chatpad bc i tried it on my other controllers and even my elite series 1 and it works fine... I didn't pay almost 200 dollars for the new controller not to let me use my accessories.

Are you using a third party brand controller? The Chatpad will only work with Microsoft Brand Controllers it won't work with any other brand controller.

My headset won't work through my chatpad without having a lot of feedback static - it gets really annoying to the point of not wanting to use them at the same time...

Yea u power cycled twice, and then even tried it on my other Xbox One, and still the same thing. It did start working again last night, after I had charged the battery to 100%, then plugged in the chatpad again, and it worked. However, I had more problems
with it again this morning, as my girlfriend was using the the controller without it plugged into the console. So then when I went to use it, I turned on the controller and the chatpad wouldn't work. So I had to unplug the chatpad, plug in the charge cable,
and the light turned red for a couple of seconds, then turned white. I plugged the chatpad back in, and it has been working. It seems that I need to leave the controller plugged in for the chatpad to keep working. It will work when I unplug the controller,
but only until the controller turns off. Once it turns off, when it's turned back on, the chatpad won't work again until the controller is 100% charged. It's very odd. Thinking about purchasing another Chatpad to see if maybe I just got a bad one, because
my dad hasn't had those problems with his, just his controller randomly disconnecting, which is a problem that I haven't had in about a year.

Hello. Sorry to hear that you are having issues with your Xbox 360 Chatpad.



There are two tabs on either end of the chatpad that fit securely into the screw holes on the bottom grips of the controller. If these are not secure then the chatpad won't be fully operational as the connection at the powerport will be loose.





Connect the Xbox 360 Chatpad to a controller:



1. Turn the controller and the Xbox 360 Chatpad so that the bottom of each faces up.

2. Align the chatpad connector plug with the controller's expansion port. Align the two posts on the chatpad with the holes on the controller.

3. Push the chatpad onto the controller with even pressure until they snap together. There should be no gaps.
