    Hey DaringDPMDean! We tested it out here and were able to attach the chatpad to an S controller. the female connectors are a little higher so it does need to be angled a little to connect but it should not need to be forced. Try out angling it upward a little
    and see if it connects for you. Post back and let me know how that works!

    I am having the same exact problem. I never owned the original Xbox One, simply bought a new Xbox One S, and then ordered an official Xbox One Chatpad. One of the plastic guides has a slight wiggle to it, but that should have no effect as to inserting
    the chatpad into the controller. I have tried 'rocking' it back and forth (as suggested on an Xbox support video) to no avail. It seems like only a minority of consumers are having this problem, but none the less it is a problem. Before buying the chatpad
    I researched online to make sure it would fit the One S controller, and I found a lot of people stating that it would not. (After more research I know this is not true.) However, I can see how this would turn people away from buying the Microsoft chatpad.

    I will return mine, and hope its not the controller.

    Not even remotely working (no pun intended). I've tried rocking, wiggling, sliding, etc. I have the same model chat pad as stated above (1676) and the white controller (1708) that came with my Xbox one. This is infuriating

    Hello. Sorry to hear that you are having issues with your Xbox 360 Chatpad.



    There are two tabs on either end of the chatpad that fit securely into the screw holes on the bottom grips of the controller. If these are not secure then the chatpad won't be fully operational as the connection at the powerport will be loose.





    Connect the Xbox 360 Chatpad to a controller:



    1. Turn the controller and the Xbox 360 Chatpad so that the bottom of each faces up.

    2. Align the chatpad connector plug with the controller's expansion port. Align the two posts on the chatpad with the holes on the controller.

    3. Push the chatpad onto the controller with even pressure until they snap together. There should be no gaps.
