    Bought a chatpad and it won't plug into my xbox one s controller

    Chatpad won't fit XBOXOne S controller

    Is the chatpad only made to fit xbox 360 controllers? It won't fit in my XBOX One S controller!

    Chatpad won't fit into controller

    We received a new Chatpad + headset for a gift, but the chatpad will not fit into the controller.

    The XBox is XBox One S (white controller)

    The Chatpad + Headset are labeled for XBox One / Windows 10 and are black.

    Is it supposed to slide in easily? It certainly doesn't and without putting too much pressure does not seem to want to fit into the controller. We have already plugged the headset in directly to the controller and ran the firmware update. However, the
    chatpad simply won't fit into the controller.

    Sorry to hear about the issue with the Chatpad and the controller. Is this an official Microsoft Chatpad or another brand? Could you possibly share a picture or two of the connection problem with us? We'd appreiciate it!

    Chatpad for controler

    Hello. Sorry to hear that you are having issues with your Xbox 360 Chatpad.



    There are two tabs on either end of the chatpad that fit securely into the screw holes on the bottom grips of the controller. If these are not secure then the chatpad won't be fully operational as the connection at the powerport will be loose.





    Connect the Xbox 360 Chatpad to a controller:



    1. Turn the controller and the Xbox 360 Chatpad so that the bottom of each faces up.

    2. Align the chatpad connector plug with the controller's expansion port. Align the two posts on the chatpad with the holes on the controller.

    3. Push the chatpad onto the controller with even pressure until they snap together. There should be no gaps.

    No, it won't. The adapter as well as the chatpad are both formfit to the rear of the controller. Unfortunately, the rear of the chatpad isn't the same shape as the controller, so the wireless adapter won't fit. If you're desperate, you could probably find
    a 3.5mm male to female headset extension cable to link them, but then you might as well use the XBox Talkback cable (sound is better for others on Live with it than the wireless if you use the Talkback anyway).
