    I have read in several places that the Microsoft Chatpad works with the Elite Series 2 controller but I find this not to be true. I connect it to the controller and plug in the audio jack and nothing happens, can't type or hear audio. When I connect it to the regular controller it works just fine. Anyone else have this issue and find a solution? The Chatpad is a great tool for watching videos/movies since you can control the volume straight from the device.

    Xbox Elite Controller v2 - no headset audio via chatpad

    I'm glad im not the only one with this problem.. I got my elite 2 today and its not working with my chatpad. Is not only the audio but is like it won't recognize the chatpad at all. Notbing works not even to type this is annoying bc I use my chatpad frequently....
    is noy my chatpad bc i tried it on my other controllers and even my elite series 1 and it works fine... I didn't pay almost 200 dollars for the new controller not to let me use my accessories.

    Will the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 be compatible with the Xbox One Chatpad accessory? Will the controller fit into the case with the Chatpad attached?

    Would you happen to know if the controller will fit back into the case with the Chatpad accessory attached? This was possible with the Series 1 Elite Controller.

    your elite series 2 need repair...

    about elite series 2, I think this has more problem....

    I have 2 elite series 2, my rubber knobs on the hair trigger locks came off too.

    And My 'A' button is very bad..

    Yes i updated my chatpad using my other elite, still nothing i made sure its plugged correctly too and nothing. It works fine with elite 1 and the other controller is just the elite 2 is not even picking it up. It picks up the headset piece so I know the
    port is not bad....

    no don't buy an elite series 2 because ive had 2 brand new elite series 2 and they where both broken out of the box
