    I recently replaced my chatpad with another msft Xb1 Chatpad. But the orange and green keys don't work correctly. If I type green button then the @ key, it doesn't type anything. Or if I press the orange button and then the + key, it types {. The green and
    orange symbols all seem mixed up.

    I've read that the serial numbers on the chatpad have to end in the letter E for them to work properly here in the US. However, the serial number only has numbers and no letters in them.

    I've already reset my console multiple times, (even factory restoring it), made sure that my XboxOne consoles keyboard language was set to English (US), and updated my controller and chatpad with no success.

    I returned the chatpad and tried to get one with letters in the serial number but none of the chatpads at the Best Buy locations had any letters in them. All only had numbers. I exchanged it anyway for another one with only numbers in the serial. And that
    one didn't work either - even after resetting, restoring, and updating again.

    For some odd reason, the only way that all symbols on the keyboard work is for me to change my consoles keyboard language to Español (Mexico). Not sure why this is the case.

    You might say, "Well, problem solved," right? No, the problem is that now, the only typing suggestions that come up are all in Spanish and I dont speak spanish.

    This is a chatpad that should just work in the US right from out of the box in English. So, what is the problem?

    Can anyone please help me fix this annoying issue?

    I suggest you to send it back to the retailer and ask for a refund or a replacement.

  5. I've already exchanged it through the retailer (BestBuy). Both have the same issue. I don't want to keep going back and forth over and over.

    Thank you for reaching out to us here on the forums with this situation. It sounds like the product may be from another region especially because it works like normal when in Spanish setting. I would recommend checking to see if there are any warranty options

  7. My XBox has already been serviced and the chatpad issue occurs on other Xbox consoles as well.

    I will contact Service but I think the real issue is that Bestbuy is selling chatpads from the wrong region. This needs to be investigated and fixed.

    I contacted Xbox Support and they just kept referring me to the website but would not let me speak to a live person. I tried Microsofts Customer Service and they just kept telling me to use the same useless site, which doesn't help at all.

    Xbox and MSFT have the WORST Customer Support. They sell you garbage and then they hide so you cant speak with anyone.

    I'm done with these garbage products and horrible service.

    Apparently, something as simple as just making a chatpad that works is just too difficult for MSFT to do.
