chatpad not working

Finally figured it out, i had a chatpad connected to my pad and i removed this and it begun working. While it has always worked beforr with a chatpad, my chatpad has become defective amd must of been interfering, so i have taken it off and my headset work.

From what I know about the Chatpad from looking at the XNA and raw data dumps the messenger signal is unique to the chatpad. When I got the chatpad and wireless adapter I figured I would create a working driver for windows, but eventually stopped working
on it. They could add in keyboard shortcuts to the dashboard, but the lack of support for the chatpad makes me think that will probably never happen for basic USB keyboards.

I'm glad im not the only one with this problem.. I got my elite 2 today and its not working with my chatpad. Is not only the audio but is like it won't recognize the chatpad at all. Notbing works not even to type this is annoying bc I use my chatpad frequently....
is noy my chatpad bc i tried it on my other controllers and even my elite series 1 and it works fine... I didn't pay almost 200 dollars for the new controller not to let me use my accessories.

Or you could get a chatpad for your controller or connect a keyboard to the console so you can type faster.

A chatpad works well

Yea u power cycled twice, and then even tried it on my other Xbox One, and still the same thing. It did start working again last night, after I had charged the battery to 100%, then plugged in the chatpad again, and it worked. However, I had more problems
with it again this morning, as my girlfriend was using the the controller without it plugged into the console. So then when I went to use it, I turned on the controller and the chatpad wouldn't work. So I had to unplug the chatpad, plug in the charge cable,
and the light turned red for a couple of seconds, then turned white. I plugged the chatpad back in, and it has been working. It seems that I need to leave the controller plugged in for the chatpad to keep working. It will work when I unplug the controller,
but only until the controller turns off. Once it turns off, when it's turned back on, the chatpad won't work again until the controller is 100% charged. It's very odd. Thinking about purchasing another Chatpad to see if maybe I just got a bad one, because
my dad hasn't had those problems with his, just his controller randomly disconnecting, which is a problem that I haven't had in about a year.
