Chatpad issue on XBOX ONE

Has anybody else had the special characters on the chatpad appearing wrong.

i.e if you use the green button and w for the @ symbol , it comes up as ". Both characters are on the wrong keys.

Is this a firmware issue ? or is it just my new chat pad.

Chatpad won't fit XBOXOne S controller

The Xbox360 Chatpad will not fit on any Xbox One controllers. In order to use a chatpad on the Xbox One controllers you will have to buy the Xbox One version of it

Chatpad stops game audio

My turtle beach headphones don't seem to work with my chatpad connected - i get chat audio but no game audio.

They work perfectly without the chatpad attached.

I have followed the troubleshooting on All About the Xbox One Chatpad with no success.

I have made sure that the game volume is turned up both on the console and chatpad.

Is this an issue that anyone else has had? is there a Fix? or do I have to unplug my headphones and plug in the chatpad anytime I want to type (very annoying)? or is my chatpad faulty?

Yes I did. I know it's not a big deal but just annoys me a little.

 

is it a location thing? eg your in the US and your location is the UK, in a similar way the keyboards on a PC can be different if the location is different to the keyboard.

Check your location on the console is correct.

 

I am still having this same issue with my chatpad as well. Region is set correctly and MS support have been absolutely useless with regards helping me out. The thing is, when I haven't used it for a while, I forget which key is which for the @ symbol. Really
annoying.

 

Figured it out!

The chatpad serial number ends with the letter B, E, F, G, or S to indicate which language it supports: British-English, US-English, French, German, or Spanish.

What you have to do, is to change the Keyboard Language in settings>system>language&Location>Keyboard Language

Ex: If it has an "E" in the end, it needs to be US-English, If it has an "S" in the end it indicates you need to have the keyboard language set to Spanish (and so on)
