    i got the chatpad last night for Xbox one. I was prompted for a firmware update right when I plugged it in. Everything went fine but now my microphone won't work with either the original headset or the one that came with chat pad. I've resetted console,
    re paired the controller to Xbox etc. I can hear them but they can't hear me. Worked fine since day one until this firmware update.

    UPDATE: After forcing a firmware update even though the firmware is up to date, the Chatpad now works when connected over USB or the USB wireless controller dongle. It still does not work over Bluetooth, however.

    Xbox One Chatpad not working on Windows 10

    For the past 8 months or so, my Chatpad hasn't been working when attached to a controller connected to my Windows 10 PC. It worked when I bought it about a year ago, but either a Windows or controller firmware update broke support. It works on any controller
    I attach it to so long as it's connected to my Xbox One, but if the controller is connected to my PC the Chatpad doesn't even light up. I've connected controllers to my PC via Bluetooth, the Xbox wireless controller dongle, and a micro USB cable with no luck.
    The controller I mainly use with my PC is running the latest firmware (checked about 5 minutes ago).

    I'm kind of bummed that I spent $35 on this accessory, only to have an update break support for it.

    Chatpad no longer working with 11/19 Update

    I just purchased the Xbox One Chatpad. When I first plugged it in to my Halo 5 Master Chief controller on Monday 11/23/2015, it prompted the update for the controller and then for the Chatpad as well. It seemed to be working. I then plugged it into my Halo
    5 (silver) controller but it did not prompt the updates nor did this controller recognize that the Chatpad was attached. I then plugged the Chatpad back into the Master Chief controller and now it also does not recognize that the Chatpad is connected. Both
    controllers are have been updated to firmware version 2.3.2385.0. I have also powered cycled restart several times as well as completely disconnected the power supplies for the console and the controllers. I would hate to have to exchange it for a different
    one if it is just a firmware issue. I have tried restarting my Xbox One on Tuesday 11/24/2015 with no change.

    Found the *sort of* answer to this.

    I went to a buddys place and used his xbox one to re-rerun the firmware update for my elite controller. After doing that update, the chatpad started working. The Xbox One accessories app works with it in windows 10. Windows 10 does not have support for re-mapping
    chatpad keys.

    Latest firmware update broke my controller.

    Also I have attempted to downgrade the firmware through the Xbox Accessories app, it told me 'hey there's no issue you're updated!' and proceeded to close the update page. I also tried connecting it to my Windows device and it does not recognise the controller despite the controller vibrating when I plug it into the USB.
