Chat with turtle beach

I'm not sure if it belongs here, or if someone can help me, but does anyone know if it's possible to use Turtle Beach's for chat only without listening to the game audio?

I mean, I want to use the headsets for chatting as I have my sound going through my sound system.

Can Anyone Else Still Hear Game Chat While in Party Chat?

i can hear game chat while im in party chat all the time with my turtle beaches.

 

What headset do you guy's and girl's use?

Sennheiser HD598 with Turtle Beach DSS. If i need to chat, i use Kinect.

 

UH... not going to comment on the fact that an ambassador is asking stuff like this or the fact that he doesn't know where to put the request but if you plug the chat cord into your controller it should work no matter where the audio is going too...

 

Unless you want to wrap the Turtle Beach around your neck, what is the point? But all you need to do is plug the USB cable into the Xbox or other power source if needed and plug the chat cord into your controller, just leave the other audio cables out. If
you want to listen to voice through your audio system and your headset..

- Press the Guide button

- Settings (on the right of the Guide)

- Preferences

- Voice

- Select/modify your preffered settings

But I do agree with what Hawk was saying.. I suggest you should take a tour of the forums and learn where everything goes.

 

If I understand what you want, you can try going to settings -> system -> console -> audia disable sound effects. Will make all sounds disappear on dash. If that's on dash,

Ingame you can just set your volume lower, not the master volume but the effects volume or any other volume you want muted like music or effects usually and that's it.
