Chat volume on headset

I use turtle beach headphones with the adapter. What I do is turn chat volume up with adapter, then I use the volume control on the cable connecting headset to controller to control chat volume while controlling game volume with volume control on the headset.

Is the chat sound turn up on your headset...usually TB headset allow you to control both game volume and chat volume...It sounds like you've turned up game and down chat.

What TB Headset are u using?

Ya, I forgot to try that when I got home last Friday night. But I ended getting a refund back due to the mute button issue. Not sure If I will order another pair or not. I think the main problem with the headset is that its lacking an inline volume amplifier
for chat volume.

The chat volume buttons on the actual headset are pointless. When you lower the game volume with the buttons on the other side, it turns down chat volume too.

Its a shame, cause the headsets were pretty good.

Did you check your headset to ensure the volume is not muted? Your mic may be muted. And also, check to make sure in the settings that the volume is set to headset for chat mixer.

Is there a volume wheel on one of the ear pieces of the headset? Because on the wireless version headset there is, and the chat volume is separated from it. Check that, because it could be all the way down.
