chat though headset and tv

hi im a youtuber and was wondering if you will be adding the feature to play the chat though headsets and tv so i can record my friends voice like the 360 has got. sorry if this has been asked loads of times or even been answered

voice chat not comming through my headset

I also run into the issue when I use my tv speakers I only hear the voice chat in the xbox headset even though I tell xbox to have the voice go through my headset and speakers.

Anyone know how to properly connect an XBO headset to PC?

I'm not sure if anyone's still interested but I think I finally figured it out. If you want to use the headset on W10 just for chat, click on the volume icon on the bottom right of the task board and above the volume slider, it says its playing through the headset, just click on that and switch it back to the tv/monitor/stereo speakers.

It works for the xbox chat headset and, though im still jarry-rigging it, seems to work on atleast the X30 TB headset.

Do you have a PVR? I have a Hauppauge HD PVR2 PVR which records chat on 360 and what I say through my laptops in-built dual mic system (HP Pavilion dv6). I'm not quite sure though about chat. My PVR uses HDMI in and HDMI out connection. It would be good
if Xbox 1 now does this by default. If I played more on Xbox 1 I'd be able to but since most of my friends are stuck more on 360 I play on that more than on the 1.

In settings, Xbox has an option to make party chat output go through your headset, headset and TV, or TV.

but that's only for party chat. i've always wondered why xbox can't do the same for in-game chat too?

With in game chat, if your headset is plugged in; game chat automatically goes to the headset, with no option to have it output through TV.

really sucks when you can't wear headsets, you can't play socially outside of parties. (in party chat; i use my headset mic, but have their voice output through my TV. game chat has no option to do this, you must wear your headset to hear teammates)

If you are talking about the Chat headset, that comes with Xbox One, then No. If you are talking about Stereo Headset, with an Stereo Headset Adapter. then Yes. Using the Stereo Headset Adapter give to both Chat and Game sound to the headset. If you TV,
is connected to the Xbox, your TV sound, will go to the headset.

They are just headphones without a mic.

As you won't be chatting you could either plug directly in to your TV to listen tot he game sound, or purchase the chat adapter and plug in to that. Going directly via the TV will save you buying anything else.

You won't get any chat though unless you get a headset that has a mic.
