Chat system problems.

Just yesterday I started havin an issue where game chat would work fine but party chat everyone sounds like a robot and they can't hear me. I've done all the troubleshooting procedures and can't figure out the source of the problem. Also I have the same
result with the headset unplugged and I try to use my Kinect as a mic.

Error code: 0x89231806 Blocking Party chat

I'm getting this exact issue. Why does the XBOX One Party chat suffer so many issues? It's amazing how on the XBOX 360 there wasn't this many problems with the party chat. Now with the XBOX One it's been nothing but issues with the Party chat since the
system was released.

My NAT = OPEN

This is on the XBOX ONE

0X89231806 your network settings are blocking party chat.

I'm also tired of Microsoft constantly suggesting to do a hard reset on the system. It seems to be their answer to everything. Have a problem? Hard reset your system.

DESPERATE for help !

If you have a friend with an xbox one, test it on that system. Outside of that it sounds like you'll have to replace the system, the problem with trouble shooting is there are lots of different things that can cause problems. They can't read your mind nor can they assume you have tried everything, everyone's abilities are different, so they have to go through step by step. Assuming it's the headset isn't new, and the only way to have gotten around that assumption would have been to try another headset or to test the headset on another controller, and then another system.

Personally before I sent it back I'd try on a friends system if that's an option, and then try a full factory reset on your xbox one. If it works on another system you can then assume it's your own, and if you wipe it and it works you saved yourself the hassle of sending in your system.

As for kinect not working outside of party chat, thank god. I don't want to hear your game.Click to expand...

Yeah i couldnt try it on another xbox unfortunatly, the only reason i wanted game chat to work was about a month ago when it happened because the party chat was still a bit funny

some simple troubleshooting steps to try. First,
remove your Xbox Live profile from your Xbox One console. After that go ahead and power cycle your Xbox One console and then proceed with signing back in. To power cycle, follow the steps below.

Press and hold the power button on your Xbox One console for 10 seconds.

Once the console is powered off, unplug the power from the console and let it sit for 5 minutes,

Power the console back on and add your profile back onto the Xbox One console.

Verify if the issue persists.

Give those steps a shot and try using a different controller if available! Let us know how it goes. \/

I have the same exact problem and it started today as well. There does not seem to be a path throught the chat system without totally misrepresenting the issue. Is there a generic link to the chat support that doesnt ask questions that disqualify you
for chat support??

Now my xbox live works! I was chatting on "chat support" and got aswer to my problem, I deleted my profile on xbox and "clear system cache". Then downloaded profile back and it worked!
