chat system on xbox since the update

Recently my xbox one headset stopped working i could hear people but they couldn't hear me, it wasnt muted the orange light was not on and the volume was up full so i tried resetting everything reconnecting everything configuring my internet connection
finnally i purchased a new headset same thing i can hear people but they cant hear me so i thought maybe its the controller so i purchased a new controller now im 60 pounds down and still its not working i feel like throwing at a wall the only reason to use
xbox over other systems is the great chat service so please can you help me fix this or do a patch or something im so annoyed and im not exactly rich to have spent all this money

Since update chat mixer does not work at all. Game volume remains loud and drowns out party chat. Please help.

 

P.s....I use Kinect as my mic...

Hey Hensman when you try to speak through the headset in the party is there a pulsing colour around your profile picture?

 

theres a green ring arround my profile pic when im in a party yes but as for pulsing i dont think so just stuck green
