Chat Support is Lame

Hello,

I just spent 2 hours on the chat and both times I was transferred to a manager/supervisor, both times the connection was lost after only 2 sentences.

I have a screen recording of the procedure and still no solution.

Worst support ever and hope someone of the management will give a closer look to it.

The issue was a ticketing sound coming from the power supply of my XBOX ONE S and came back from the repair with the same exact issue even though the console was "verified a thoroughly tested by professionals" and worst of all, I have a new issue since it
came back from the support this morning as I am having trouble making it recognise my disc games.

I understand you frustration. Redeeming the PPCs can be quite a task. Even if your gold membership expires, your account will simply downgrade to a free membership. Is there an error that you recieve when trying to access your profile from the console? If
not, you can open the guide menu by pressing the silver button on the middle of the controller, go to the left to "Marketplace", and select "Redeem Code". If you recieve a status code after entering the code, please post it here.

Go to
xbox.com/accounts

Click on REDEEM CODE in green on the left

enter the Windows Live ID when it asks

enter the password when it asks

type in the 25-digit code (it will do the hyphens for you)

You've just renewed your GOLD subscription

 

Chat support is tricky, depending on the device you're using and the connection between you and them there's a lot going on.

There are days it's frustrating for the agents as well do to the "tech" behind the scenes not working.

Sorry for what you ran into.

So, noise from the power supply. The power supply on the One S is internal and shouldn't be making noise but there's a fan for the console that's there.

Does it make a difference if your console is horizontal or vertical?

Do you have your Xbox plugged into a wall outlet? Try not to use a power strip.

Disc issues -

- Hard reset the Xbox by holding down the power button on the front of the Xbox for 15 seconds. After the 15 seconds let go of the power button then restart the Xbox.

- Try the discs again.

- Is it just games discs that are not read or game discs and dvds and blu-ray discs?
