Chat Settings while streaming xbox one to windows 10

I use the streaming feature on my Win10 computer every so often, I've never had to connect my controller to my computer and never had any issues using the chat (xbox one isnt too far from my computer).
This recently (2 weeks ago or so) when I enabled streaming the chat feature wasnt working on my headset that's attached to the controller. It now was sending the chat audio to my win10 default audio output. Once I turned off the streaming chat resumed on my
headset. Is there anyway to make chat input and output always come out from the controller / xbox rather than windows.

TLR - can the XBOX App stream only video so I can use my headset for audio and chat from my controller thats still wirelessly connected to my XBOX One

Thanks for posting. While streaming your Xbox One to your Windows 10 PC, it is by design that Xbox Live parties are prioritized on Windows 10 at that point.

However, if you own a Micro USB cable or the Xbox One Wireless Controller Adapter for your Windows 10 PC, you can use the Xbox One Chat Headset on Windows 10 for Xbox Live Parties. Check out our

Windows 10 Game Streaming Microphone Not Working!

So recently when Game Streaming through the Xbox App on Windows 10 I used to be able to talk to people with my microphone while game streaming in game chat and party chat, but after some updates, it no longer works and says no microphone detected! I've followed
EVERY step in setting the microphone as a default playback/recording device and no success. I can use the party chat feature in the Xbox App but I can't use my mic while streaming which is frustrating!

This was working up until recently, any reason why it was changed? Where can i find a change log for the xbox one app for windows 10?

 

No specific change log to reference but you can reference Settings/About/What's new to see any summarized changes. Depending on what version of the app your running you may also want to check out the Xbox App Beta for it is currently running the latest version
of the App: 15.17.3004.00000. Try using the beta version to see if the issue your experience continues. If the issue does continue please help us out and report by using the "Report a problem" in the beta app. This will help us to request an investigation.
