Chat restrictions?

so I recently had a chat restriction out on my account. It’ says I’m not allowed to use online voice chat, or message people. I tried playing online and it says my account doesn’t have the privileges?

Should 'No Chat' in Destiny be against the law?

Proximity chat or some form of text chat would be alot better than no chat at all.

You can only talk to people directly in your fireteam.

During a communication suspension you are allow to play multiplayer games but there is one exception to that, if the game requires voice communications to play the game and you have a comm ban then you will not be able to play that game in multiplayer mode.

I thing think this is the scenario you are describing

well I’m trying to play nba 2k17, I don’t think you have to have voice chat to play online lol, and it’s a suspension. I read the message at xbox enforcement and it says nothing about not being able to play online, just voice communication and messages.

Neither Private Chat nor Party Chat are restricted in Skyrim. Private Chat is never restricted, though some games (Dark Souls, certain MW2 playlists) do restrict Party Chat.

You can switch to in-game chat by going to the "Your party" panel in Xbox and selecting "Switch to game chat.

You could follow the steps mentioned below to customize your child's privacy and online settings

Sign in to the console with the adult’s Microsoft account that’s in the family group.
Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
Select Profile & system > Settings > Account > Manage family members, and then select the child account that you’d like to manage.
Select Privacy & online safety > Xbox privacy.
When you reach this step, you could select the Child, Teen, or Adult default settings, or customize your child’s settings by selecting View details & customize.

You can also adjust the settings online by following what's mentioned below:

Sign in to https://www.xbox.com with your Microsoft account. Sign in at Xbox
Select your gamertag, and then select More options (…).
