    Chat problems


    Game chat, party chat... it doesn't really matter. The chat problems on the xbox one are happening too often. On the 360 it was ever rarely an issue. With the xbox one it seems like it is every other day. I have had issues where some people I could hear
    both people and talk to both people yet they could not speak to each other. Right now I cant speak to anyone in anything. I cant even speak to myself in my own party chat. Doesnt even recognize that I have a mic. Very frustrating.

    Yes my NAT type is open.......

    Haven't had any problems.......... with the problems you're having, having party chat / game chat problems though.

    You too huh? EVERY SINGLE PERSON on my friends list tell me they also have party chat problems. I also have these party chat problems. Most people I talk to in online games tell me they also have these party chat problems.

    The console is over a year old now and WE STILL HAVE THESE PARTY CHAT PROBLEMS!

    FIX YOUR PARTY CHAT PROBLEMS MICROSOFT!

    OPEN NAT IS GOOOD

    If you have such Problems, try a Hard Reboot (Full Power Cycle)

    Hold Power Button on running Xbox for ~15 seconds, it will shut down.

    Wait until Power Supply light has turned to Orange, if it is Orange you can unplug the Powersupply from XBOX 1 and Wall Outlet. wait for another 60 seconds.

    Plug back in try again.

    Now it should work for the Game Session...

    can it be that the People are not in your friendlist?

    I suggest you also to check your Privacy and Security Settings..

    there is a Option which is for communication.

    For example you can set up that only your friens can hear you...

    Something similar is happening to me. When using my xbox one stereo headset people in the party chat say they can barely here me talk at all. They say it's like if i was standing far off from the mic. This issue started mid gaming session.

    I'm having chronic problems with game chat and party chat, too.

    Party chat will sometimes suddenly fail for some or all of the party members and we have to make a new party. Sometimes random audio from non-participants, people we don't even know, will broadcast into our parties. (I can only assume it comes from people's
    Kinects, especially as most of the time, they don't seem to be playing anything or doing anything on their consoles when it happens.)

    Game chat in PvZGW doesn't work. A handful of participants in multiplayer may transmit some audio, but it's obvious that other people are talking but cannot be heard -- including me. Randomly, once or twice, game chat did temporarily work during Garden Ops
    mode, but each time only one person could hear me, and afterward it spontaneously went back to not working at all again.

    I've tried talking to MS Xbox support and to EA support, but neither has been able to fix the game chat issue or even determine why it's not working. I don't know if it's the fault of the game, the console or both... but I'm sick of it.

    Are you playing your game on Xbox One or Xbox 360? If it's on Xbox 360, party chat not working is a known issue that is being looked into. We don't have any further information at this time but when we do, we'll update this thread for you.

    have everyone reboot console

    do not launch any games/apps

    1 person starts party turns on party - do not send invite

    join party host by going to friends list, choose friend hosting party, join party

    turn on party chat

    NAT TROUBLESHOOTING DID NOT HELP ME!

    MS should upgrade all XBOX LIVE members to premium Skype membership to use group chat there.
