    Chat problems between two consoles in same house


    Hi,

    i have recently purchased a second console and have been having problems hearing my son in the other room. Sometimes it works perfect, then he will sound far away or cannot be heard at all. Or he can't hear me while I can here him and vice versa. At times
    I will suddenly be heard through his tv and vice versa while still connected to headsets.

    i get multiplayer issues also but they are not often enough to really bother me that much.

    I have been advised elsewhere in the forum that my router may not be handling multi consoles very well and I have ordered a new one from my ISP Which will hopefully sort it.

    just wondering if the headsets can be assigned to different channels or something so I can get a more stable connection In the meantime.

    Two consoles, same house, sharing issue.

    I've been reading up online about the ability to share your games if you have two consoles under the same roof with digitally bought games. Is this possible to do with physical copies of games? My brother and I both have an Xbox One each and want to play
    GTA online together, except we only have one physical copy.

    With you being able to share if you download digitally, surely there is a way for those of us who went out and bought a copy of a game?

    Any reply is appreciated.

    With physical copies you would need two copies of the game. You have to have the disc in the drive in order to verify that you own the game, so it would not be possible to have the game running on two consoles with 1 disc.

    Reading through the replies the problem lies with your intranet (Local LAN) connection as it sounds like through Live is okay (which reflects the NAT Open status).

    Here are a few links to walk through. No, you do not need special headsets, additional gear and hopefully, the AT&T router will support. If you give me the make & model number I will look that up.

    Please keep giving me details. This is definitely solvable. Note the UPnP settings will work great for the Internet but may not for Localnet, so please give me the port settings your router shows.

    Have you tried via PCs or smartphone?

    Never had any issues in our house (two xbox family) - sorry to hear of your issues.

    Other than the open NAT suggested above I have no idea

    Make sure under your settings that your NAT is at least medium or open, restart and retry party chat. Like Bokor Zombie, we also have six active Xbox's and chat in our house. No issues talking with one another.

    Thank you for coming to the Xbox forum for help with your issue. We have 6 Xbox's in the on house and we can all chat - so having 2 you can definitely do. Set up both consoles as you would if you only owned one, connecting via Ethernet or WiFi. You can even
    set it up to have it with one xbox as the home Xbox which means you can share games -

    As for being able to chat to each other it is no different to chatting to a mate. They send an invite to the other and go from there.

    Now, obviously if you are following these thing and it is still happening are you getting anything on the screen to say there is an issue etc.

    Do both headsets work when they are playing alone on a game or in a party with someone else please?

    I use a Netgear Nighthawk and the far end has an extender attached. We have them run on the same and some different frequencies.
