Chat Pad

I received the newest xbox one chatpad yesterday and already having issues with it. I've updated the controller and the chatpad (Requires 2 updates), the image on the screen changed to reflect the controller with the chatpad attached. The chatpad works
awesome; however, when you go to assign the two special shortcut keys (Per instructions in the manual) there is no option to do this and the image of the controller is without the chatpad. I have rebooted, updated etc... to no avail. This is a new product
and there is nothing on the internet as of yet. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Ok so I bought the new chat pad Microsoft put out for the Xbox one, and it is great. I do However a feature request. Should any body important see this feel free to pass it along. Ok so the chat pad lights up when you press a button. That's awesome. Problem
is, it docent last very long. Maybe an option to make it last longer. Also an option to keep it on when sending a msg. Many times I've used it it will shut off mid msg. Just a thought.

Hmm... can they just be important to me or do they have to actually be of importance to Xbox? Haha.

Seriously though OP, it's taken us this long to just get the chatpad that I think updating any of the features might take a while, but feedback is best placed on the feedback website here:

I couldn't find anyone else with the same feedback so it's looking like you'll need to create your own.

 

As far as I know the programmable buttons are not available untill mid 2016.

 

Thanks for responding. I agree, most of what's on the internet says the pad wasn't due out till 2016 but MS released it earlier. I preordered mine a month ago and just got it. In the enclosed instructions it says to go to settings and devices and configure
the hotkeys from there. I'm pretty sure it's just a software issue with the new Xbox One layout. Who knows lol. Other than that the chatpad works great and easy to use in the dark.

 

I'm very happy to hear you are enjoying the new chat pad I can't wait to get one myself. But if you read this link from major nelson you will see that its not available until mid 2016.

After reading your suggested link, I vaguely remember reading this page at some point prior to my purchase lol. Perhaps it was wishful thinking - they released it early - got the better of me. Thank you for the information, my obsession can now rest.
