Chat Pad Support

Hey!

I need a question answered; Does the Xbox One Chatpad support mic monitoring?

This is important because I am looking into getting one but if it doesn't support mic monitoring I won't get it. I don't want to give it up being I can have it straight through my controller.

Any answers to my question are a huge help and feel free to leave questions down below if you need them answered.

Full USB keyboard support is supposedly coming in the February 11th dashboard update. I too would love to see a chat pad but with keyboard support available, I can imagine the market being small. Especially considering that you can get a wireless keyboard
from ASDA for half the price of the 360 chat pad, a wired keyboard for half that!

Thanks for responding. I agree, most of what's on the internet says the pad wasn't due out till 2016 but MS released it earlier. I preordered mine a month ago and just got it. In the enclosed instructions it says to go to settings and devices and configure
the hotkeys from there. I'm pretty sure it's just a software issue with the new Xbox One layout. Who knows lol. Other than that the chatpad works great and easy to use in the dark.

 

Yes you will still be able to adjust mic monitoring features whilst using the chatpad.

 

So I'll be able to hear myself through the headset still?

 

Yes. It doesn't effect the features that your Xbox One offers. Although there are no dedicated mic monitoring buttons on the pad itself mic monitoring will still work.
