Chat pad high pitch background noise

Just purchased chatpad and there is a constant high pitch background noise. The headphone adapter doesn't. Clear as day. What is causing this ?

High pitch noise.....

I don't think it's about the carpet either, for you. I just had it now, Google'd it and found this. It's never happened, only the first time for 2 years, and it's on a well ventilated area, on a wooden desk. So it may just be the actual Xbox. I'm going to
do some more researching on this. I'll let you know if I find anything.

High pitch noise.....

The noise happens all the time the console is on, it's not a disc noise as I install every game before playing. And as I stated before I clean my xbox every week

Did you try updating your controller after adding the chatpad?

Ya, that was the first thing I did. No change. The adapter sounds just fine.
