Chat Pad for XB1 Controller

I really loathe not being able to type info into my XB1 via a chatpad, like the one we have for the 360s, and I have not heard anything about the possibility of one for this system...Is this even in the plans for the XB1?

I can hear myself with the mic monitor and I can hear parties talk but they can not hear ME when I use my ELITE controller and a regular XB1 Mic (either launch mic or newer chat pad mic)

Now the launch XB1 Mic will work with my launch XB1 pad PERFECTLY.

THAT is why I think it was a software update on the EILTE pad. Anyway to roll it back or reinstall it? Frustrating!!!

 

Anyone else have this problem. Chat pad one s controller.

Bought s controller for pc connected via Bluetooth. Bought chat pad for it. Chat pad will only work when controller is connected via USB to pc. Bought doggie for x one controllers. Chat pad still refused to work wirelessly with s. However it will work wirelessly
with first Gen x one controller and doggie.

 

There are 3rd party ones that you can find on amazon and the like. They are nothing more than USB keyboards. They require a USB fob to be plugged into the console. Also looking at them they block your headset ports.

A friend of mine has a third-party chat pad that plugs into the controller like the 360 version and it works just fine he says. There likely will never be any version produced by Microsoft as the SmartGlass app seems to be the replacement and it is what
I use on my phone and iPad for all typing. But you never know, Microsoft has done a good job of listening to its users since launch and many surprising things of happened.
