Chat not working

Hi,

This problem started yesterday whereby none of my friends can hear me in chat. Ive tried party chat and in game chat and no-one can hear me. I can hear others chatting away though.

I know my headset is working fine because the circle flashes on screen next to my name when I talk, so the console is hearing me. Ive tried 2 different controllers and 2 different headsets and switched them around in all combinations.

Ive tried power cycling my console, unplugging it from the power supply for 5 minutes, rebooting my router, hard wiring my internet connection and my NAT is open. Ive ran network connection diagnostic and mulit player network diagnostic with no issues reported.

And yes, my headset is not muted!

My headset is Turtle Beach XO Four and I have all the latest updates and dont have a communications ban.

There's loads of posts in the forums about this issue.

Whats going on????

Chat not working

I am seeing the same thing with titanfall. Headset just stops working. It works fine if I start a party and talk though.

 

Chat not working

This problem has been happening since the beginning. Chat sometimes works through my headset, then sometimes it doesn't. It will stop working at different times doing different things. Just now I was playing Titanfall and my chat was working, then
after the round my chat stopped working. The headset is not the issue as I have two headsets and they both do the same thing. The headset powers on, just doesn't register my voice or allow other players to come through either. The amount of glitches with this
system is amazing lol.

 

Also, I can send voice message to my friends and they can hear them...

 

I have the same problem and it also started yesterday after receiving a message about the new dashboard rolling out soon.. I have tritton ax720s and I have three different adapters and the 3.5 jacks on my two separate controllers.. both controllers are less
than a week old and I cannot get either to function 100%..If I use the stereo adapter I can transmit voice but cannot hear anyone.. If i use the 3.5mm jack I can hear people but cannot talk... bad firmware was pushed out..

ive been having the same issue. Just bought my xbox Oct.3rd with a brand new controller. I did the xbox update and controller update. I had not tested chatting with people until yesterday because i only play on weekends and have only played single player
campaigns lately, so anyway, I tried to talk to people in game-chat and in party-chat but they cant hear me and i can hear them just fine.

I've already spend 6 hours researching my heart out from 10pm 10/24 to 4am 10/25 trying to find a solution, and i've already done what every single forum and support rep says to do.

-hard reset

-turn power saving on

-unplug all cables and let it sit and retry

-open NAT

-try different controllers

-try different headsets

-try different profiles

i cannot figure it out and no one seems to have a definite solution.

Seems like this has been an on-going situation for the past year due to updates. Idk what to do.

 

Hey, guys! There are known issues with Turtle Beach XO Fours right now. You will want to go to
Turtle Beach Recall - Ear Force X0 FOUR Stealth for further information on that.

If you are having this issue and you do not have an XO Four headset, please post up a new thread detailing what you're running into and troubleshooting you've completed. This way our community can get you the individual support that works best on the forums.

 

Temporary fix for this:

Connect the headset to the controller with the MS adapter and a 2.5mm-3.5mm cable. As soon as you connect them you can remove the cable and it works. Looks like the headset isn't picking up all wireless signals anymore.
