Chat Not Going Through, Even After Switching Controllers And Headsets

A couple days ago, my headset couldn't pick up my voice, but I could still hear people through the headset. Thinking another mic had failed me, I went out and bought Turtle Beaches. However, i still could hear people through the new headset, but I couldn't
talk to them. I bought a new controller and same problem. Switching between my charge and play and batteries, no combo of old items, new items or power sources can make me be able to talk to people.

I do have the new dashboard from the preview program if that might be the cause of the problem.

Headset working but xbox doesn’t recognise mic

My headset is working but I cannot hear people in party chat. It says it is unable to find my mic. I’ve tried switching controllers and headsets but it made no different

 

Headset audio not functioning starting 1/20

After an update on the morning of 1/20 any audio coming through a headset plugged into a controller no longer works. Both chat and game audio is not served to the headset.

Tested Xbox Polk and Astro headsets.

Tested elite and regular controllers.

Tested xbox slim and xbox release models.

Could you check https://enforcement.xbox.com/ and clarify that you haven't been given a communications ban? It sounds like that could be the case.

Unfortunately, that was not the case. Only ever had a one day suspension back in June and I couldn't hear or talk to people in with mic or Kinect. I can still hear people and chat with people using my Kinect.
