Chat mixer with headset and speakers

Have you already tried adjusting your headset's chat mixer? to do so:

• Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

• Scroll down to the speaker icon.

• Make sure your headset's volume is turned on.

• Adjust the headset's chat mixer.

I'd also suggest making sure your in-game audio settings are adequate for voice chat.

• May I ask what kind of headset you are using?

• Are you using any stereo/headset adapters with your controller?

• Have you already made sure the headset's volume and chat mixer are set up correctly? to see these settings:

- Press your controller's Xbox button to open the guide.

- Scroll down to the speaker icon.

- Select the speaker icon.

- Make sure the volume is turned on for your headset.

- Make sure the headset chat mixer is set to the middle of the bar.

Are you plugging your headset into your controller? If so then have you checked the console Chat Mixer settings to see if it has been set to 100% Game Audio? The newer Dashboard has the Chat Mixer at the bottom of the Xbox nexus Home tab (bottom right speaker
icon). If you see the Headset Chat Mixer slider is all the way to one side (eg Game) then move it towards the other side. Normally it would be at 50/50 mark.

If you have an older Dashboard then you'll have to look for the tab that includes the Chat or Audio setting (sorry, I don't recall whether everyone has been updated to the newer Dashboard style yet) and check/change the adjustments there.

If you have a wireless headset (eg Astro A50 series) then the Chat Mixer setting is adjusted on the headset itself. I'm guessing you don't have this type headset though as the Chat Mixer setting usually resets back to the middle (50% Game, 50% Chat) every
time the console is restarted. Note that when an Astro A50 series is connected, the console Chat Mixer settings are grayed out since you have to make the adjustments on the headset itself.

I stream on Mixer and use an El Gato HD60Pro but I don't have that issue.

try going to your settings of your xbox and change audio for voice chat to Headset/Speaker.

If your listening to your friends through the headset it would pick their audio up over HDMI.

Press the Xbox  button to open the dashboard and select System > Settings > General > Volume & Audio Out.

Select Chat Mixer, then choose one of the options.

set noise to 50%

And chat output puts headset and speakers

This is the setting for the sound to come out of your TV.
