Chat Mixer Snap setting gone

There is no chat mixer in my snap settings and I can't hear any of the game sounds. I can hear my party and my friends ok but my game sounds do not work. This is annoying because every once in awhile it will show up and I can hear game sounds in my mic.
That's only happened two to three times. I have hard restarted my Xbox three times today but still nothing and since it has worked before I'm confused At why it doesn't not work. Any help is welcome, Thanks

Cannot hear friends in xbox one party

i know this sounds obvious (sorry) but have you gone to setting and adjusted the chat mixer (slidders) settings?

Snap idea

Can you add chat mixer & sound picture in snap, because sometimes I want to adjust it if I want to listen more carefully to the TV, while I'm playing in the same time and vice versa, better than going to settings because sometimes its frustrated and annoying,
also it will adjust more easier than going way back to settings.

missing my headset chat mixer slider in settings also. Was there yesterday(12/31/17), gone today. Hard reset of Xbox did not help. Using 2nd gen Astro A50s with a 2.5mm to 3.5mm cable plugged directly into the controller.

You could do this as of the May update. Go to home, settings, display & sound, volume.. it'll give you a sound mixer for the snapped apps and chat volume control.

There is a fader in the audio settings, you can choose if you want all sound to the main app or the snapped app

Configure sound and chat mixer settings

Sound mixer allows you to adjust the blend of sound between visible apps. Chat mixer lets you adjust the blend of sound between your game and your chat communications.

Alternatively if you are playing a game as the main app, just go to the game's audio settings and turn it down to 0.

This is what I do if I'm watching TV snapped.

Go to the Home screen.

Press the Menu button on the controller.

Select Settings.

Note You can say “Xbox, go to settings” from any screen, but you’ll need a controller to navigate once you’re on the Settings screen.

Select Display & sound.

Select the type of audio mix that you’d like to adjust.

UPDATE.

I figured it out.

Hard reset the xbox with the headset plugged in. The new controller has the chat mixer turned all the way to chat and not to game . Put the mixer back to the middle and it works. Without the hard restart, the option to adjust the chat mixer is gone.
