Chat mixer for wired headphones

Hold the Xbox button until the console turns off, remove the power cord and leave it unplugged. In your controller remove the batteries for a few minutes and after about 3 minutes plug the power cord back into your console, put the batteries in your controller, turn on the console with your controller and see if that solves the problem

Hey there, have you tried altering the chat mixer? When you plug in your headphones, press the Xbox Button, then head to the cog (settings tab) there should be a mixer there to adjust your sound.

Getting game audio is dependent on what type of headphones you have. If you have stereo headphones and you plug into the 3.5mm port on the controller, you can access the chat mixer slider by pressing the Xbox button and select "Audio" in the System tab right
under Settings. From there, the second slider down titled "Headset chat mixer" is where you control how loud you want the game audio compared to the chat audio.

I did all the steps but there isint an option that is titled "headset chat mixer

is this on all games? out of curiosity. are you using an adaptor?

check your system settings. go to the settings cog and go down to audio and check your chat mixer and make sure its in the middle and not far right, if its far right it will only give you party chat and no game volume. have you tried party chat? if you are
using an adaptor have you tried without?

Im not using any adapter, but im using wired headphones.
