    Chat mixer doesn’t work.


    I have powercycled my console, I have updated two different controllers. I have reset my console. I have slowly put in the headset jack. I have looked over every audio toggle there is. I’ve tried a different headset. NOTHING works. How do I fix the chat mixer being grayed out?

    UPDATE.

    I figured it out.

    Hard reset the xbox with the headset plugged in. The new controller has the chat mixer turned all the way to chat and not to game . Put the mixer back to the middle and it works. Without the hard restart, the option to adjust the chat mixer is gone.

    Got issues with chat mixer. I use Kinect for microphone. Since the update chat mixer does not work .and volume of games drowns out party volume.may be related to your issue

    well it may be a bug on either Xbox or Mixers servers. Are you using the new beta dashboard? It may give you issues with things like Mixer lag and etc. if it still doesn’t work then it make be Mixer that isn’t working as well.

    Remeber the Xbox One X is coming soon so we’ll be getting a lot more updates soon and those updates will fix those issues.

    Sorry to hear it. Please go to Settings>Volume & Audio Output>Chat Mixer and set it to Reduct the volume of other sounds by 50%
    Didn’t work but thanks. Still doing it. Again I can’t hear the echo, only others in the party. If they speak quietly, doesn’t seem to happen. Haven’t got it coming through the tv and it’s a chat headset like I said, so it’s not like I’m using it for game sound.
