    Chat headset does not work


    My headset was working fine up until a few weeks ago. The mic completely quit out and doesn't work. I can hear other people in my party fine, but I cant talk back. Are there any fixes for this?

    Chat Headset Microphone Does Not Work

    I would suggest trying a party test...but with the controller plugged in via usb to rule out any wireless issues.

    Looks like you've covered everything else.

    FYI: There are a lot of reports after the NXOE update so IF going wired doesn't fix it.

    and IF you have all games and apps on an external HD

    Id try doing a factory reset.

    If that doesn't work, i would contact official support and follow their steps.

    Im currently having the same problem as you i have tried all troubleshooting software and controller updates but it still not working

    I'm having the same problem as you I can hear people but no one can hear me, I just bought a new mic and still doesn't work, tired going on YouTube to see if anything works and nothing has happened. Anyone know what to do?

    Hey everyone.

    Some of you have mentioned troubleshooting, but just to make certain please try out all the steps on
    this page. If you haven't already also test your headset on a different controller as well as a different account. If you've recently received a communication suspension and no one
    is able to hear you we have a
    thread over here with information while we look into it.

    To help best help everyone if you're still having issues please create a new thread so we can best help you out individually.

    I have tried ALL of the recommended steps to get your headset to work but NONE of them have worked. My xbox says that my controller is already updated but it also says that I don't have a headset connected when I clearly do. I have cleaned it, restarted
    it and even cleared my cache. I need someone to help, I just bought it and it hasn't worked yet. I just want to talk to my friends.

    As the post mentioned above, if you've been able to try a different controller/different headset along with the troubleshooting go ahead and create a new thread so we can best help out. It's much easier to troubleshoot when multiple issues aren't taking
    place in the same thread. Thanks dude!

    Broken microphone

    The microphone does not work in any games nor does it work in party chats. The headset is the standard headset that comes with an xbox purchase.
