Chat headset (Both stereo and original) mics not working, give out static

My chat headset mics provide static to those within my party and when i remove the headsets, i receive static through my tv. I cannot hear the static that the party chat members tell me about and they do not hear the static from my tv. Ive tried switching
controllers with headsets and vice versa, with no success. I have cleaned the ports, updated controllers, power cycled Xbox, plugged and unplugged from controller, changed batteries, bought batteries, recharged batteries, made sure nat is open, cleared mac
address, to no avail.

I do know that there are times when i hold the headset cable in a certain manner or when i hold the headset adapter in a certain manner, the static goes away. On both controllers this happens. When I move my hands around with the controller the static comes
back and the light next to my name showing that the mic is functioning stays on until the static clears out again. then, the mic tends to stop working. when i move the adapter around while attached, the mic give static as feedback to those in the party chat.
Again, what i am describing happens on BOTH controllers with BOTH headsets. Is my XBOX possessed?

Chat Headset is full of static

I'm having the same problem.. In my case my basic chat headset stopped working, my online partner couldn't hear me but I could hear him. Bought a new, OEM headset, lots of static when the plug is touched/moved. Worked for about 1.5 hours and stopped
working thru either of my controllers. Bought another basic headset, it doesn't work and bought a MS X1 Stereo headset and another controller. The outgoing chat works sporadically, lots of static if the plug into the adapter is touched. outgoing voice
cuts out & in. VERY frustrating! Ron ....

 

Television Audio Through Xbox One Headset

If you are talking about the Chat headset, that comes with Xbox One, then No. If you are talking about Stereo Headset, with an Stereo Headset Adapter. then Yes. Using the Stereo Headset Adapter give to both Chat and Game sound to the headset. If you TV,
is connected to the Xbox, your TV sound, will go to the headset.

 

Now my controllers freeze and do not respond after plugg and unplugging after trying to make the headsets work

 

I am having the exact same issues with my headset and adapter! I've tried all the same solutions and get the same results when handling the wire that connects headset to controller. certain positions the static goes away, but when i let go the static returns.
You're XBONE is not possessed seems M$ has put out another SOLID product... Can my headset adapter be exchanged for a new one? or a new wire be sent?
