Chat doesn't work on new PAD

Hi,

Just picked up a new pad, I updated it as usual for the Headset adaptor, it told me pad updated. I can hear game sound using the Xbox one stereo headset, but the chat does not work. The mute button will not even turn on. If I use the same adaptor
in one of my old pads it works fine.

Faulty pad by the looks of it?

Mic won't work when plugged into chat pad

My son has a turtle beach xo one headset and bought himself a chat pad for his birthday. The chat pad works fine but when the headset is plugged in the mic doesn't work. He can hear the others in the party but just can't talk. If I take the chat pad out
the headset mic works fine. Have I got a duff pad or is he doing something wrong. The controller has been updated with the chat pad . Thanks

 

Chatpad for xbox one..is it compatible with the xbox one S controller?

I can say that my chat pad doesn't work with my S controller. Incredibly frustrating, disappointing, and perhaps false advertising. Inexcusable for them not to make the new controller work with it...

 

Sounds like i faulty pad mate.

Could try updating again and also powering down the console
