Chat cable tip broken in WIRED controller

Hey, my chat cable broke, and the tip is lodged inside my controller. I've seen the tutorial for wireless controllers, but I can't exactly take a battery pack out since my controller is wired. Any ideas for getting it out?

Are you saying that the whole cable should be the same colour?Click to expand... Yes, that is how they were sold. There are official controllers that were all black though, which would have came with a black breakaway cable. Such as the S Controller. It could be that you were given a Duke Controller with a S Controller's breakaway cable.Click to expand...

So your saying that both Xbox Duke Controller and Xbox S Controller should have their breakaway cables the same colour throughout the entire wire. For example if the breakaway cable is black the rest of the controller wire should be black also for the S Controller and also it applies for the Duke Controller where the whole wire including the breakaway cable should be the same colour throughout which would be dark green.

Is the USB cord connected to the controller and can't be removed? Or are you using a removable Play&Charge cable?

Usually, when the controller shows two alternately flashing LED's, it is a sign that the batteries are almost empty.

If it's a wired controller, it could be, that the wires in the cable are broken, and you have a loose contact in one of the wires (maybe because the cable was bent too much or too often).

In that case, the PC won't recognize the USB device properly, and in the case the controller was connected, the wire inside the cable lost contact, and then connects the broken wire again, the controller might be detected as a new controller device, and
is then assigned the "Player 2", "Player 3" or "Player 4" LED quadrant.

I dont know what tbs you have, but I have the x31s which have a separate volume control for the chat. If the mic wire is not plugged in, there is no control for chat voulume.

Perhaps if yours works the same, a broken wire for the mic could possibly cause yuo to not have control of the volume.

Is there any damage to the connector of the wire mic such as the tip has broken off?

it might be that the cable is worn at the ends or the wire is broken on the inside, i would get a new controller , or go for a wireless one. hope this helped.
