Chat banned on xbox live account

My account has had some restrictions placed on it because of a recent ban on communications. The ban was the result of online multiplayer on battlefield V. I killed this player a couple of times then the player accused me of cheating then proceeded to
message me that he is reporting me. At that point I swore in a message to the player. By the time I had sent that message he had already reported me and my account was immediately banned. My question is why can a player report someone just because they are
doing bad at a game and the reporting player gets salty then reports the other player out of spite. Why does xbox then proceed to ban the other player's account just on that basis alone. Now what if I decided to get salty and just report players just because
I'm upset, how fair would that be to other players just because im upset and decided to report someone out of spite. That's what happened to me and I don't appreciate it. Maybe I should just switch over to Playstation and go to PSN. Maybe they won't ban accounts
just because some salty player reports someone whom they accuse of cheating only because the reporting player is getting out played. This reporting scheme sucks and innocent players get abused by other players who act like douchebags in the game.You should
investigate both accounts, not just take the word of one account and immediately ban the other account who got the report filed against it.
