Chat Adapter Freezing Xbox and Game chat not working only party chat!

The chat adapter is making my console freeze and its not working. it seems to work sometimes in party chat but game chat not working at all.

everything is updated chat adapter controller and system. and i have tried hard reset still not working properly. The headset does not work in game chat at all. In party chat it worked until i went to game chat. Ever since the update this issues started
happening. It has to be the update that caused all these issues for ton of people.

My headset was working for both game sound and party chat now not working for game sound and only shows settings for party chat

 

i have tried multiple controllers and game chat does not work no Cod ghost or Titanfall..only two games to test on .happened after the july update i believe before then it was great. someone please help me if u can.

Sorry to hear about freezing and game chat issues. Let's see what we can do to help get this issue sorted.

Please give the following steps a try:

• Press and hold the power button on your Xbox One console for 5 seconds.
• Once your console is powered off, unplug the power cord.
• Remove the headset adapter from your controller and remove the batteries from your controller.
  
• Wait 5 minutes and then plug in your console, headset adapter and reinsert the batteries into your controller.
  
• Power on you console and try joining party chat to see if the issue continues.
  

Give the suggested steps a try and let us know if you are continuing to experience the same issues.

 

So doing the august update it seems that the issue with my headset adapter is FINALLY Fixed.

Thanks Mister Quimby for the reply..i had already tried that in the past and it did not work but hopefully this update fixes the issue.
