    Charter Communication's "On Demand" Service Not Working With Xbox One Controller


    I wanted to know if there is any known fix for not being able to browse through the menus of Charter's "On Demand" services with the Xbox One controller. It is the sole reason I still have to hang on to my cable remote, because I use it very frequently.
    It doesn't seem like it should be such a big issue, since the only needed inputs are the four directional arrows and a select button.

    Also, does anyone know if the new Xbox One Media Remote is compatible with On Demand menus, as if it is, I would definitely purchase one.

    On Demand menu's do not currently work through the IR control through the Xbox One. We hope to include more IR features as time goes on. I have noted the request.

    I have not seen the Xbox One Media Remote work for this function.

    Thank you for the answer! I too hope that one day this will be an included feature, but I am still happy with the Xbox One as it is.

  6. I agree - I was truly hoping to rid myself of any other remote in the living room. Since we watch a lot of DVR programming from our local cable provider, this is the one feature, that for us, keeps the Xbox One from being in complete control of my family's
    entertainment experience. HUGE step if/when thus capability is added.

    I agree - I was truly hoping to rid myself of any other remote in the living room. Since we watch a lot of DVR programming from our local cable provider, this is the one feature, that for us, keeps the Xbox One from being in complete control of my family's

    Xbox One and Charter Communications

    As of July 7th, Charter has rolled out their new digital service. Since it's rollout I encounter a recurring error from Charter stating that my TV doesn't support HDMI and to install a component video cable. It worked fine prior to Charter's new digital
    roll out, but now it's has some real issues.

    I've contacted Charter and explained that I have my Xbox One controlling my media center and they suggested that I disconnect my cable box from the Xbox and install it direct to my TV.

    So far this has resolved the issue, but was curious if other Charter cable subscribers were encountering the same issue?

    Seems strange that no issues existed prior to their new programing and now it does. I feel it's their issue and not the Xbox.
