    I purchased my XBox One September 2014 at the local Microsoft store, and unfortunately received a faulty console that did not boot up. I spent hours re-setting my network, replacing HDMI cables and then went through all the troubleshooting with the Microsoft
    support team, but ultimately was sent a new console. The new unit arrived, and it booted up! It took numerous hours to download 4 games (which took up almost half of the 500gb hard drive) and the system seemed laggy and took forever to boot up, but I was
    happy once I was able to play my games. A few weeks ago, I discovered that the blu ray player did not work on the new unit (yes, I installed the app) and then just a few days ago the unit started making some crazy grinding noise after the power was turned
    off and then it completely stopped working. Wow... two faulty XBox One consoles in less than 6 months?

    I contacted support, and they happily agreed to send another console to exchange, which I am still waiting for to arrive. Today, I noticed that my credit card reflects a charge from Microsoft for shipping this new unit to me. I contacted Microsoft support
    and was advised that the customer is charged for shipping with the advanced exchange program, (AEP) but is not charged if sending the unit for standard repair which takes two to three weeks. So, does that mean that Microsoft does not have to pay FedEx or
    UPS for shipping if they keep a unit for a few weeks? I doubt that is the case! Microsoft is out of their mind to think it is acceptable to charge a customer to exchange their faulty console, especially since the customer service rep never mentioned one word
    about a shipping fee! I was not charged the first time, so I am wondering why I am being charged this time. I forgot to mention that for my time and trouble with the first faulty unit...Microsoft sent me a free trial 7 day xbox live gold card, which I could
    not even redeem or add time to my existing gold account. What a joke! I wish I could just return this epic fail of a unit and go back to my 360, which never gave me one bit of trouble. Will I ever buy another Microsoft console or product? Hmmmmm.

    So I looked into getting a repair and I can get a replacement under warranty, which is great. Although I do have to send the controller to the Czech Republic!!! Postage costs are almost as much as a new controller! Thanks Microsoft.....

    Well, after three months I'm pretty sure that my once-quiet replacement PSU now sounds like the original noisy one I had at launch Charging Postage to get a replacement XBox One? :(

    I'm tempted to try and get another replacement, but why bother if they get noisy again so quickly?

    I suppose that I could see what the postage cost would be and send back the original for a replacement, as at least having two means I can send one back and still use the console.

    Just to correct what you said: "We will send you a free shipping label and materials along with your replacement console. After we receive your current console, we will send you a code for a one year Xbox LIVE subscription at no charge to you."

    So, they'll send the console before receiving anything. I'll receive the materials and postage to send the Xbox ALONG with the new console.

    But before you reply, let me do it for you: "But! The warranty! You voided it!" OK, done. Thanks.

    Anyone with these issueI needs to contact there store they bought it from or like me contact Microsoft because Amazon didn't have any because it can't be patched and needs to be replaced. Get advanced replacement from Microsoft which means u get a new console
    within 3 days and the box it came in u put your old one in that And send it back ( already pre paid postage)
