Charging Controller Powers on XB1

I have an official Xbox Controller, rechargeable battery and charging kit. When I finish playing the XB1, I select the power off function from the center button of the controller. The XB1 powers off as normal. However, as soon as I plug the controller
into the charging cable the XB1 immediately powers back on. Sometimes it takes a while pushing the button on the console to get it to power off. When I plug the controller into the charger, I don't want my XB1 to come on. Can you please fix this issue with
a future software update?

Controller Charging Dock

Don't think you'll get one without battery packs, as part of the "charging dock" is the batteries lol

I have this one which works via USB, plugged into the back of the XB1, charges them even when the console is switched off

Microsoft sells 2 docking station chargers on their store:

Energizer 2X Charging System for Xbox One

Nyko XB1 Charge Base for Xbox One

I have used the Energizer system almost since Day 1 and have had no issues and very happy with the purchase. Dual charging, no cables to connect the station to the controller, easily docks, and holds the charge for days. Hope this helps!

I would recommend always leaving your controllers plugged in and wrapping them up when you are done playing. They will turn off if they are already plugged in.

If your order is charged, everything should be fine. My XB1 controller order got charged last week and it's still ''backordered''.

My XB1 order isn't even charged yet (MS Store Germany), so i'm a bit worried.

Was the xbox one powered on when it flashed once, or was it off?

Did you try connecting it to a PC with the charge cable?

Does the charge pack show as charging when you connect it to the XB1 or a PC?

And just in case the worse has happened, Argo's are doing the white luna special version for £28.99, cheapest i have seen for a offical controller, just in case,

Take for example the kinect for 360. It cannot recieve ENOUGH POWER via a USB port. Thats why slim consoles have a dedicated port for the kinect. This also helps illustrate the inconvenience if the XB1 controller can only be charged via a USB port on the
console.
