Charging cable with led from microsoft not working anymore

How do I get a replacement cord? I just got the charger kit and already the chord is bad. I am using a different usb chord with no led charge indicator.

The Problem with Updating the Xbox one Controller

There is a problem with the wiring in the LED cable that will not allow the handheld controller to update. I was able to update the controller with the non LED cable. All other aspects of the LED cable worked ok. The LED cable lites to white when
changing or charged to orange when charging is needed. Also, the cable seemed to have issues charging the controller.

 

Play and Charge Kit

I just bought a NEW controller, but after plugging the Play and Charge cable up to it the LED light stopped working. Now, I don't know if the battery is charging or not. Tried the plugging the cable on the OLD controller and LED still won't light up. HELP!
