so this is the second time Microsoft has screwed me over. Twice I clicked on promotions and twice I've been charged more for what they said they were! There is no reason this should be happening and is false advertisement. No where smdoes it make any mention
of the product being free or $2 gold promotion. This is ridiculous

paid for gold but still can't play online

I was charged twice for 2 different accounts. I renewed my kids gold membership on their accounts on the website tonight, my son was able to go online instantly, but my daughter's account still says that she needs to subscribe to gold. I looked at my checking
account to verify that it processed the payment (which it did) and saw that I was already charged for the accounts on the 2nd and 4th. So now I have two $9.99 charges for each account showing on my checking account, but it shows my son only has 1 month paid
for, and my daughter's still shows no subscription. I don't know why it even auto renewed the accounts on the 2nd and 4th because I have auto renew turned off, so the charges on the 2nd and 4th weren't even supposed to be processed to begin with.

Unintentional Purchase

So my brother and I saw a game with gold for this month on backwards compatibility. Supreme Commander 2 we tried to download it thinking it was free and ended up with a 30 dollar charge that we weren't supposed to charge to my mothers account. I didn't realize
that the GWG on 360 only lasted for 15 days per game I assumed it was similar to the Xbox one where both games are available for the entire month. If there is anything I do please tell me! can't afford to through money at games right now. I didn't let it download
past 1%.

If you have been overcharged then you would need to contact support

Weren't ISP companies supposed to start monitoring traffic and cracking down on pirates over a year ago? Whatever happened to that?

When you preorder something, Microsoft will run a test charge to see if you actually have the ability to make the purchase. This test charge goes away after a couple of days. The actual charge only goes through around 10 days before release. This is why you think that you were charged twice. You actually weren't though. The only time it doesn't happen that way is when you use currency in your Microsoft account. That happens right away.

If there is a charge and it was canceled on your account you may need to check all possible Microsoft account that you have and if you weren't able to see it you may need to report the charge to your bank since the transaction is not visible on your account.
