    I basically feel as though my card was charged twice for one month of service of Xbox Live. Going off of my bank account, I see the original 10.59 was taken out 6/23. I then decided I wanted to get one year of service on it, so I subscribed for the whole
    year. My bank account corresponds with that with a 7/23 debit of 63.59. I assumed that was taken and that would cover me from that point forward.

    However, I'm now seeing a debit for 8/4 for the one month price of 10.59? So it goes, 6/23: 10.59, 7/23: 63.59, 8/4: 10.59. Is this an error of some sort with the one month payment renewing itself on top of my yearly subscription? There is the possibility
    that maybe my one month subscription ran out, I was charged for a day or two then before I set up my yearly payment. Assuming that's the case, is there any way I can be reimbursed? It would be my error but it would still seem harsh to keep the accidental
    second payment of one month going when that was clearly not my intention.

    Also, I can provide proof of all of that as needed and can look into other pages on here if that helps. It just seems like some sort of error whether that was with my timing, not turning off an automatic renewal, or something else with my card or Microsoft.
    Losing 10.59 wouldn't be the end of the world but the principle of it has me here asking for some help or rectification of the situation.

    This is something you'll need to contact Xbox Support about as it is a billing issue. We cannot access anything related to your account.

  6. Hey there, sygilmore1989! This actually sounds like something that can be explained quite well, though it will be a bit confusing.

    Sounds like you have a cycle date and a billing date situation going on. From what I can tell, you purchased Gold for the first time in a while on 6/23. Terrific, this would be the beginning of one month. However, if you had Gold before, your Billing Date will
    be whatever day you started Gold on, and will always be like that. It looks like it would be the 3rd for you. So, let's see if we can work this out.

    6/23 - Original purchase and charge

    7/23 - It's going to charge you again because the cycle starts, but you end up buying a year

    8/3 - The system sees that your cycle started again and charged you for that month

    It's a bit confusing the way the system goes, as I said, but we can prove it if you have an extra month added on to your 12 months. If you check when your subscription ends, it should be 13 months (end of August next year) instead of the 12 months.

    You can contact support to see if you can get a refund (if you haven't already); it's generally not within policy, though. If you find a nice enough agent, though, they may take an exception since you did buy a year of Gold the day your cycle started and the
    system charged you anyway. And you shouldn't be charged again at all after this.

    I hope this clears it up for you! Please post back if you're still confused and I will do my best to see if I can clear it up for you.

  7. Okay, that makes sense. It does seem to reflect that my trial will end 8/23/14. So long as it won't be charging me any longer (I stopped the auto-renewal on my yearly subscription), then I think that should be fine. Thanks for the reply.

    contact support. That would end up being a flaw in the system and you shouldn't get any further charges.
