Charged for subscription but no service?

I got charged today for both mine and my husband's xbox live subscriptions bit trying to log into a game tonight we both are getting a request to buy a subscription. It's been hours since we were charged and we've never had a delay of service before. What's
going on?

I would check to make sure the accounts with the subscriptions are registered as the home Xbox account.

I suggest to call the Xbox support if restarting the console did not fix the issue. That way, they can check your account and to provide some more troubleshooting for the Gold sub you are and your husband are not able to use.

You may want to try deleting and redownloading your profiles, sometimes account updates arent reflected before then unfortunately.

Check the date of the subscription and try removing the account from the console, doing a hard restart, hold the power button for 10 seconds while the system is on, and then re-adding the account
