Charged for GT change, but no change made.

I purchased a Gamertag change on Wednesday (5/18/16), and have yet to see my account switch over. My bank statement is showing as the money being withdrawn, and I received the confirmation/receipt email, but no account changes have been made. I've purchased
a GT change before and the change was almost immediate- can someone tell me what may be happening, or why it hasn't been changed yet?

If they made a force gamertag change, there is no way to appeal for it.

They make the changes if the GT violates the CoC or the ToU.

 

Paid Gamertag, Typo, Now I have to pay again?

Yes, you're right. You paid for a service to change your GT. Which was then given to you. Then you wish to do another service(to change the typo), that's why you're being charged again. GT are one time process so nothing really much can be done.

 

My guess would be due to the volume of people changing their gamertags at the moment the system may be running a bit slow.

Give it another 24 hours & see what happens.

If it still hasn't changed try deleting your profile & re downloading it.

 

Yeah, I thought of that after I made the post. As a preemptive strike: What should I do if it doesn't fix itself, or show up after I delete and recover my account?

If you were charged for a Gamertag, but no change went through, the best route to take is to reach out to our phone support team through our
Contact Us page for billing support. If the Gamertag change didn't go through, one of the solutions may need to result in a refund.

 

Spoke w/ support about this almost 2 weeks ago, emailed the rep that I spoke to back to check in and see what was taking so long, and still haven't heard anything back. For a refund of $10, the service I'm receiving is extremely poor :/

 

Hey, RageFace247! That isn't what we want for you. You should have already received the refund if you spoke with someone. Are you waiting for other information from the team you are in contact in?

Unfortunately, this still means that you would have to pay for another gamertag change to change it to the one that you want. It should be immediate for the change to happen, and if it doesn't, we'd need to look into that further. There is no way anyone
will be able to make the change go through except you when you pay for the change.
