Discus and support Charged for Games with Gold Download in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; So, I opened a games with gold game downloaded in August, and when i opened it for the first time i got a notification that i was being charges for it....     Charged for Games with Gold Download


    So, I opened a games with gold game downloaded in August, and when i opened it for the first time i got a notification that i was being charges for it. This happened a month or 2 ago when i opened a game, also from games with gold, that i had downloaded
    a couple years ago. I put in for a refund for both and requested my continued games with gold access. They refunded the money quickly for tge 1st one, but ive been locked out of the game. Has this happened to anybody else?

    Hi,

    Gold X360 backward compatible games will always show you a Buy This Game.

    But, that's no problem, click on Buy This Game and you will see Free if your Gold Subscription is valid. You will also need a valid payment associated to your account.

    Excerpt from the FAQ

    "When I try to download a game from Xbox.com I get a message that says "You have no valid payment options on file." Will I be charged for the free Games with Gold?

    You won’t be charged for the Games with Gold download. The Xbox.com Store requires a valid payment option to download Xbox 360 games. However, no charges will be made since Games with Gold is free to Xbox Live Gold members."

    If these games are for the Xbox One you need a paid gold membership to be able to play them.

    The "Games with Gold" games you download are yours to keep free of charge. As long as the Gold subscription cards are not "trials" then yes. In order to be eligible to download the free games you have to have a PAID gold subscription. So if you bought the
    1 month cards you should be good to go.
