Charged for full years gold subscription 4 days into "Try Gold for 1 month for $1"

4 days after signing up and paying for the 'Try gold for a month for $1" offer (14/5), I have been charged the normal 12 month subscription of $79.95 (18/5).

Why?

There was nothing in the offer conditions to indicate this.

When I signed up for the offer, it stated that the subscription end was 14/6/2016 (i.e., 1 month) as I expected.

Where's my month to trial before I commit to a full 12 months???

How do I organise refund of the the $79.95?

The option your referring to is the Xbox LIVE Gold Family Pack which is $99.99, this is a full 1 time payment, not monthly.

This gives you the ability to add 4 Xbox LIVE Gold members who will all have a 1 year Xbox LIVE Gold subscription.

A normal 1 year subscription costs $59.99 and that is specifically for 1 account, and it is also paid at one time.

Other subscriptions available are 1 month ($9.99 / month), and 3 months ($24.99 / per every 3 months paid in full).

 

"Try Gold for 1 month for $1" is the possibility that MS offers to all members that haven't used gold before to try the service before they buy it. The terms of the offer are quite clear that in the end of the trial period if you continue to use the service
you will be charged.

That would fine if a month had elapsed! But 4 days into the start of the trial period???
