Charged for canceled subscription

So I canceled my xbox live subscription a month ago and it sent me confirmation that it was canceled but when i looked at my credit card info today it had a charge on it from xbox live. What’s that about? And can I get a refund?

I canceled my xbox live monthly subscription, but I still charged the installment.

Charged once more ? Why ?

i keep getting charged for Xbox game pass even after i had canceled my subscription on 1/22/18. This is getting really irritating because for Two months i was charged for something i didn’t even want. Please help, i don’t want to be charged anymore.

You'll need to contact customer service.

The typical reason for this is that you cancelled the subscription after the next monthly sub started. And since the next month started before you canceled, the charge was still pending until the billing date hit.

Customer service can explain those dates and what they see. If you were not using the subscription after you canceled it, you might get a refund.

Thanks for reaching out to the forums. We see you want to cancel a subscription. When cancelling a subscription, you need to turn off the auto renew first. If you cancel the subscription most times it auto refunds the charge if recently charged.
Once that is off, then a subscription can be cancelled. Here is a guide to
turn off recurring charge.
